Chrono is intrigued by her, but he's also... just someone who will avoid prying even if he's really, really curious. He wants to know more about her people and their history because they ping him REALLY HARD of his own from what little he knows, so it's sort of... a morbid "do I really want to know" thing :') But he urged her to write it down because he thinks that any culture should be remembered, even the awful ones. No one would learn from past mistakes otherwise.

TIDE... well Tide is extremely crazy right now, but he found the Handmaid to be by far the most tolerable of the people he's met so far. I DON'T WANT TO SAY HE LIKES HER OUTRIGHT because he isss... very himself, but he actually didn't mind talking to her at all, where with most other people he wanted to stab them in the face for the duration. So that is... definitely something! He wouldn't be opposed to interacting with her more, which is also definitely something.

Do you think she could/will learn how to break out of that apathy in time :|a Especially surrounded by so many people and their FEELINGS!!

I think it's a definite possibility, because the apathy is something she definitely developed as a reaction to her circumstances. On the other hand it issss a very entrenched attitude so it will definitely take time and effort. On the other other hand, she is super unused to kindness so it really catches her off guard and gives people more room to influence her than there might be otherwise. On the other other other hand, she thinks breaking out of her apathy is kind of a pointless thing to strive for because she's going to dead in 2-4 human years anyway. Fortunately her apathy extends to being apathetic about whether or not people succeed in rousing her out of it, so. \:D/ I am excited to see how Thusia changes her.

How is Tide dealing with being alive other than, uh, badly?
